Prefabrication is the practice of assembling components of a structure in a factory or other manufacturing site, and transporting complete assemblies or sub-assemblies to the construction site where the structure is to be located.Reinforced concrete. However concrete also has gravel and other coarse aggregates that makes it stronger and more durable. Concrete has a low water-to-cement ratio and is a thinner consistency than mortar.A fire resistant material is one that is designed to resist burning and withstand heat, however, fire-retardant materials are designed to burn slowly. An example of a fire-resistant material is one which is used in bunker gear worn by firefighters to protect them from the flames of a burning building.Prestressed concrete is a form of concrete used in construction which is “pre-stressed” by being placed under compression prior to supporting any loads beyond its own dead weight.This can result in improved structural capacity and/or serviceability compared to conventionally reinforced concrete in many situations.Prefabricated homes, often referred to as prefab homes or simply prefabs, are specialist dwelling types of prefabricated building, which are manufactured off-site in advance, usually in standard sections that can be easily shipped and assembled.
